Evenings, weekends and public holidays tend to be busier, with a more social atmosphere and groups connecting throughout the space. If you prefer a quieter experience we recommend visiting on weekdays or booking into our silent sessions.

Our Silent Sessions offer a peaceful, introspective environment for guests seeking deep relaxation and solitude. Our silent session hours are listed below - after these hours, our space gently shifts into a more communal setting.

SOME COMMON QUESTIONS

What should I bring?

We provide one sauna towel per guest which should be used for sitting on the sauna to protect the wood and hygiene of others; we recommend bringing an extra shower towel for the end of your session, these can also be purchased at reception. 

Please bring a reusable water bottle (no glass is allowed) as we provide still and sparkling water, there are cups available if you need. Glass is strictly prohibited for use in the bathhouse and guests may be asked to leave if this is not adhered to. We recommend bringing a wet bag for after your session.

What should I wear?

All guests are required to wear swimwear or bathing attire. For your comfort and safety, we also advise removing any jewellery before using the facilities.

When should I arrive?

We ask that you arrive at least 10 minutes early to allow time for check-in and settle in.

Do I need to book and if so, how?

Bookings are highly advised and can be made via our booking platform or if you require further assistance please contact our customer service team at info@38thebathhouse.com

Do you offer facials, massages & other treatments?

Yes! We offer a range of treatments with industry-leading therapists. Please note we have one treatment room, so only one treatment can be done at a time. Back-to-back appointments can be arranged. 

Can I hire the space for an event?

Absolutely. 38° The Bathhouse can be privately hired for brand launches, creative shoots, intimate gatherings and team connection experiences. Please reach out to our team to learn more here.

Do you have peak and off-peak pricing?

Yes! Our pricing varies depending on the time and day: $39 for early weekday sessions before 8:00 am, $49 for mid-week sessions (Monday to Friday) and $59 on weekends (Friday to Sunday).

Do you accept group bookings?

Yes, you can book online for up to 6 people. For groups larger than 6, please contact our customer service team via the contact form here.

What is a bathhouse?

A bathhouse offers a unique, social and community-focused relaxation experience. Unlike a traditional spa, it features a range of self-serve amenities that you can move through at your own pace. While spas are often a special treat, visiting a bathhouse can be a wonderful part of your regular wellness routine.

Is there parking nearby?

Yes! Paid parking is available via Wilson Parking, with some free options nearby depending on the time of day.

Are there age restrictions?

Guests aged 15 to 18 are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult. Those 18 and over are welcome to enjoy the facilities independently.

If I'm pregnant or have a medical condition, can I still use the facilities?

We’re unable to accommodate guests who are pregnant, as our facilities involve significant fluctuations in core body temperature. If you have a medical condition, we recommend obtaining clearance from your GP before booking.

Can I bring my phone, camera or recording device into the bathhouse?

We ask that phones, cameras, and any recording devices are not brought into the bathhouse. We encourage all guests to disconnect and unwind, all phones should be safely stored in the lockers provided within the change amenities.

Do you have any women only or men only hours?

Not regularly, the bathhouse is a mixed environment and welcomes all guests during our regular opening hours.

Do I need to be a member to visit?

No, you do not need to be a member to visit. 

Do you have straighteners, curling tongs, or hairdryers available?

No, for health and safety reasons we don’t provide any electrical appliances such as hairdryers, straighteners or curling tongs, as our facilities involve water exposure.

What’s your cancellation policy?

We understand that plans can change.

Bathhouse bookings: please cancel with at least 12 hours notice.
Massage and facial appointments: we ask for 24 hours notice.
